Video production company Manchester. That's what you should be looking for if you want to do the same as Charlie Barnes did. Charlie is on his way up and make no mistake about it: this lad has got some serious talent.
No Ordinary Family were the first music video company to film Charlie when he performed at the prestigious Night & Day Cafe in Manchester (as seen on our previous page).
We had just formed at the time and we employed a two unit set up, utilising an ordinary family "handycam" so that we could detail the difference in quality between our pro cams and the common camcorder.
Many bands are still making do with inferior equipment and as a result, have to settle for inferior looking promotional video. See the difference for yourself between home video and professionally shot footage.
As you'll see, there really isn't any comparison between the two. For the audio we took the sound from the mixing desk and synced it up onto the track once we'd edited the two reels together.
The difference in the quality between the cameras is astounding and will give a completely professional look to any performance.
Since filming him raw and promising, Charlie has gone on to bigger and better things. The sky is the limit for this lad and we're proud to say the MySpace recording we did of his performance has had thousands of hits. He's already completed a tour with Amplifier and we're hoping to catch him again before too long.
